With a camera in my hand since 3rd grade, I was always the girl on the last day of school taking endless photos with friends because I just wanted to soak it all in. Now, I’ve had the joy of documenting stories since my college days and professionally for over 12 years.
I’m thankful to call Charlottesville, VA home with my husband and our two vibrant daughters. I combine the use of film & digital to create timeless, genuine & relaxed photographs that are begging to live in your hands and on your walls.

I can still smell the sweet honeysuckle that lined the gravel drive that led to my grandparents’ home who just happened to be my neighbors growing up. We lived a slow life with extended family dinners most weekends. Life wasn’t fancy but it was oh-so-full. We focused on what matters and who matters.
This sense of family drives me and it drives how I tell a story, because I see beyond the pretty. With intentionality and empathy, I’ll create photographs that make you feel….photographs that tell of a life well lived with those you love. Whether it’s your firstborn child or a season in-between, it’s worth pausing, savoring and documenting. For you & your family… now and 30 years from now.

We welcome our first child and I become a mother.
2018 /
We take a “gap trip” to Europe for 5 weeks and then move to Charlottesville to be closer to family.
2016 /
I marry my best friend and start my business in Nashville, TN.
2012 /
I intern with a local senior photographer, then head to JMU where I dive deep into all things photojournalism.
2007 /
My mom gives me $15 to pick a gift at the end of the school year and I snag a teal 35mm camera that I fall in love with.

After feeling a pull to step away from weddings, the pandemic sets that vision into full motion.
